Welcome to Our Peach Nutrition Center!

The science is in: researchers at Oregon State University (OSU) and the Linus Pauling Institute have discovered what our growers, grandmothers and dietitians have known all along: canned peaches are packed with nutrition. The study, published in the Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture (February 2013), concludes “the nutritional content of canned peaches has been shown to be comparable to that of fresh.” Additionally, the study notes that key nutrient levels—Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Antioxidants—increase thanks to the canning/cooking process.  In fact, canned peaches are 10 x’s higher in Folate than their fresh counterparts.
